AT SHROUDED HOUSE

we make and sell a one-size-fits-all natural burial shroud.

All of our shrouds are upcycled salvaged fabrics. The actual fabrics will vary, and there may be some flaws in the fabrics.

We consider environmental impact of a product from beginning to end of its life cycle to offer a green burial option that reduces environmental impact in a variety of ways reducing harm to our planet.

How we create a shroud that is ethical & environmentally respectful:

  • Small batch production with salvaged textile factory seconds.
  • Select biodegradable fabrics made of natural fibers such as cotton or linen.
  • Hire a local cut-and-sew manufacturer who is also a woman owned small business paying fair ages.
  • Packed and shipped in biodegradable packaging when possible or offer local delivery.

All shrouds are limited editions. Made in Asheville, NC, USA.
